One of the highlights of the coronation weekend is the ceremonial procession that will take place on May 6. Starting at Buckingham Palace and passing through several landmarks in London  including The Mall, Admiralty Arch  and Whitehall, the procession will culminate at Westminster Abbey.

Several London hotels are offering special coronation packages that allow guests to experience the royal lifestyle. For instance, Hotel Cafe Royal is providing a “Crown Jewels Experience” that includes a visit to the Tower of London, a private viewing of the crown jewels and a night in the hotel’s two-bedroom royal suite with an in-suite breakfast for £12,995 ($16,135). 

Dukes London is offering a “Royal Connoisseur Experience” that includes a two-night stay in an executive room, breakfast with Exmoor caviar and champagne, traditional cream tea and a four-course dinner for £2,345.

The Strand Palace is offering a two-night stay, buffet breakfast and a complimentary minibar and a bottle of champagne for $845.

London is home to several royal landmarks that tourists can explore to get a sense of the city’s regal history. Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the UK’s sovereign since 1837  is a must-visit spot where tourists can watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, explore the Queen’s Gallery and the Household Cavalry Museum.
